United Kingdom Domains
United Kingdom Domains are issued by Nominet and all end with the .uk extension. These domains are exclusively used for web sites operated within the United Kingdom and can be used by Internet Search Engines and Internet Users to restrict their scope when looking for services. In simple terms, some search engines and some people within the United Kingdom tend to look for a .co.uk domain before they try a .com!
We generally recommend the use of a United Kingdom domain where it is available, even when you decide to host your main web site under an International Domain.

Registration Period
Scotshost will register your Domain Name for a minimum period of TWO years, which can be renewed after that time. If required, we can register your Domain Name for longer periods, (up to TEN years).
